Equipment for different applications
Choosing the right equipment is of course dependent on the vegetation, terrain and situation at hand. Below is a guide to the most important aspects to consider.
GUIDE
Grass and nonwoody (herbaceous): max 20 cm
Power:
• Battery: 25cc equivalent
• Petrol: 25 cc
Handlebar:
Working time <20 min:
• Loop handle (can only be equipped with trimmer head)
• J-handle (when a grass blade is required)
Working time >20 min:
• Bullhorn
Cutting equipment:
Mowing around obstacles and stones
• Use trimmer line or plastic cutting blades to avoid damage to
surrounding objects and your cutting equipment.
Open areas without obstacles
• Use grass blade for better result and ability to easier collect the clippings.
Grass and nonwoody (herbaceous): max 40 cm
Power:
Battery: 35cc equivalent
Petrol: 35 cc
Note:
When mowing in rough and difficult terrain, using a backpack brushcutter will extend your work time and add efficiency.

Rough nonwoody vegetation
Power:
Petrol: 45-55 cc depending on conditions.

When mowing in rough and difficult terrain, using a backpack brushcutter will extend your work time and add efficiency.
Handlebar:
• Bullhorn
Cutting equipment:
Mowing around obstacles and stones

Open areas without obstacles
• Use a robust 3 or 4 tooth heavy duty grassblade. It is able to cut bushes up to 1.5 cm diameter.
Shrubs
Power:
Petrol: 45-55 cc depending on conditions
Note:
When mowing in rough and difficult terrain, using a backpack brushcutter will extend your work time and add efficiency.
Handlebar:
• Bullhorn
Cutting equipment:
• Most effective way to cut shrubs is to use a shredder blade, this blade has a dual cutting movement which reduces the winding etc. It has a big hitting impact and will “break” the shrubs.
Bushes
Power:
Petrol: 55 cc
Note:
When mowing in rough and difficult terrain, using a backpack brushcutter will extend your work time and add efficiency.
Handlebar:
• Bullhorn
Cutting equipment:
Depending on the type of bushes and the required cutting result there are several options to cut them.
Shredder blade:
• Has a big hitting impact and will chop down the bushes.
Heavy duty blade:
• Is able to cut bushes up to 1.5 cm diameter.
Saw blade:
• Sawblade will cut down the bushes like a saw, used in bigger diameters
and will provide a nice cut.
